We took the funicular up the mountain in Como to explore Brunate.
Perched high above Como, Brunate is a charming hilltop town that offers some of the most stunning views of Lake Como. We reached it by funicular, a quick ride that instantly transported us from the bustle of the lakeside to a peaceful mountain setting.
The main square is filled with cozy cafés and inviting restaurants, perfect for lingering over coffee while soaking up the atmosphere. From there, we wandered through winding lanes and had the choice to hike up to the famous lighthouse, Faro Voltiano, or take a quieter mountain path that opened up to breathtaking vistas of the valley and lake below.
With its blend of natural beauty, small-town charm, and sweeping panoramas, Brunate is the kind of place where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and feel completely connected to the magic of Lake Como.
